Mountain cherry blossoms, temple paths and small places to pause. Walk through Yoshino at your own pace, with a different landscape in every season.
A DAY DURING YOUR STAY
A day along the temple paths of Yoshino
Make Kinpusen-ji the focus of your day, with time for the streets around it. Leave the upper mountain for another visit if you would rather pause along the way.
01 · Morning
Kinpusen-ji and its temple town
Visit Zaodo Hall, then walk along the approach, pausing to notice the buildings and small shops.
02 · Lunch
Pause along the temple approach
Choose a place for lunch and take a break before deciding how far you would like to walk.
03 · Afternoon
Continue towards Yoshimizu Shrine
If you feel like walking further, continue to Yoshimizu Shrine. Allow time for the hills and the views.
04 · Back at yoinn
Let the day become part of your evening
Return to Gojo, rest before dinner and talk about the places you would like to explore next.
Planning your day
Viewing the hidden Buddhist images depends on special opening dates and admission hours. Check access arrangements during the busy cherry blossom season.
An example for a day during a multi-night stay, travelling from Gojo by car. Meals, transport and admission are arranged and paid for separately. Adjust the route to the weather and your pace.
